Walton Cello Concerto Tortelier UK HMV ASD 2924
Paul Tortelier with the Bournemouth Symphony conducted by Paavo Berglund performs the Cello Concertos of Walton and Shostakovitch’s No. 1. An English pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 2924), the labels are red with white border and grey postage stamp dog. The record has a few small marks on side two that do not sound, and it is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has a few small creases.
