Description

WOW incredibly rare complete 16 mm film from the Watchtower Society 1954 with storage and shipping case. 4 metal canisters hold the film.
The New World Society in Action was made during 1953 International  "New World Society" Assembly in New York, and was made to be a visible introduction to Jehovah's Witnesses as an organization. It was shown at the Circuit Assemblies of fall/winter 1954-55 on The Saturday night of the assembly and special Flyers were printed to invite the public,
This was the 1st in a line of 16mm films the Watch Tower Society produced up to  1966 
These were released one per circuit and kept in each circuit headquarters after the showing(usually a Kingdom Hall closet or elders closet) If a local TV station would show as  a public service, then it would be loaned. But past 1954-55, it just sat and gathered dust until branch said they could be destroyed. If they survived, it was because someone forgot or it was just stashed away. I found such a circuit stash and got all the films and slide shows going back to 1954-- the films I am having digitized now-- will make originals and DVD s available shortly..
