Ween – God Ween Satan
Twin/Tone Records Double LP 1990
Distributed in the US by Rough Trade
Low opening bid price of £20.
In this condition, this double album is very rare. Apart from a small scuff and crease in the front left hand corner, and a faint imprint of the records towards the top, this cover is in pristine condition. The album has been in storage for most of its existence, and the album has been played only twice! One of those plays has been to verify the condition, and I believe it is good as perfect. The records and the inner lyric sheet are in absolutely Mint condition. I can’t believe there is a better copy of the vinyl anywhere.
The style of music (if you can put a style on it) is incredibly original and varied, and is well described by Rolling Stone Magazine:
“Following a number of self-released cassettes, Ween's official debut, God Ween Satan: The Oneness, documents the awesome possibilities that result from two bong-addled suburban Pennsylvania kids with a four-track recorder, a sick 'n' twisted aesthetic sense, and a love for popular music at its most bloated and dramatic. Across 26 tracks, Gene and Dean Ween romp through Beefheart/Zappa-style dadaist blues with an anything-goes '80s punk sensibility that also encompasses quirky minimalism, bubblegum pop, boogie rock, folk rock, art rock, Satanic metal (and Satanic gospel!), reggae, folk, mariachi, Prince, the Boss, and more, all chainsawed and mutilated into small, pulpy chunks that only sometimes reveals its brilliance. Just as often, it's tough to stomach.”
An honest and, probably, accurate description of a totally original sound, or many sounds.

The records will be taken out of the sleeve for postage. This is to stop the records moving around in the sleeve whilst in transit.

Payment from any country other than France must be by Paypal. You can pay by cheque from a UK bank, but you will suffer a delay in delivery. This is because I must send the cheque back to my bank in the UK and await clearance. I will keep you informed of progress.
