Rare original The Mothers Of Invention We're Only In It For The Money Record Club Lp on Verve label # SKAO-91457.This is an original pressing which I believe it came out in 1969 but a few websites I've read claim it to be from 1968.Has the Matrix numbers etched/carved into trail off area Please see picture.This record was manufactured and made by Capitol records and issued to their Record Club members.Extremely tough to find and much rarer than the regular Verve issued Lp.The gatefold cover is very nice with only a slight 1/4th inch split on top seam near upper right corner.Has a very tiny bump crease on same corner which can only be seen on back of gatefold and not the front.Top seam also has 2 very small shelf rub wear spots.Rest of top seam nice with no wear.The bottom seam and front flap is super nice with no splits and only a very small amount of light wear on seam near right corner.Spine in very nice condition.Front cover very nice with about 12 light scratches on the entire front cover.All are only light with none being deep.The Back cover very nice and looks clean.Inside gatefold very nice with great color.Also inside the gatefold in the middle the seam inner spine area is in great shape and not split at all.Alot of times this is split but this ones in terrific shape.The entire cover looks super nice.Record not as nice as cover but still plays very decently.Side 1 of record has roughly about 20 light scratches with 8 scratches feelable with fingernail.Side also has some scuffing and groove wear but still has decent shine on grooves.Side 2 of record has several light scratches with 14 scratches feelable with fingernail.Side also has scuffing and groove wear which is more noticeable on this side.Does have some partial groove greying on some but not all of the grooves on last 1/4th or quarter of this side.I gave both sides of record a play test and couldn't really describe each entire side so I decided to do a song by song sound grade of every song on both sides.They play as follows. SIDE ONE SONG ONE Are You Hung Up plays with 2 ticks/light pops near beginning of song then plays Wonderfully with no ticks or pops and no background noise at all.SONG TWO Peace Corps plays Beautifully with no ticks,no pops and no background noise at all.This is the unedited version of the song as this record does have the Kick The SH-- Outa Me lyrics on this record.SONG THREE Concentration Moon has 2 light pops near beginning of song.Also has a feelable scratch that causes approximately 15 pops.In the middle of the 15 pops there is a skip of either 1 or 2 grooves.This is the only skip on this Lp.SONG FOUR Mom And Dad plays very well with a couple of light ticks only.Very clean and clear background.SONG FIVE Bow Tie Daddy plays with some light ticks during Phone Call part of song but when music starts plays terrific with no ticks or pops.SONG SIX Harry You're A Beast plays Perfect no ticks or pops.SONG SEVEN Whats The Ugliest Part Of Your Body plays has approximately 12 ticks/light pops.SONG EIGHT Some ticks near beginning then plays beautifully with no ticks or pops or background noise at all.SONG NINE Flower Punk plays Perfect no ticks or pops.SONG TEN Hot Poop has 2 light ticks.SIDE TWO SONG ONE Nasal Retentive Caliope plays fantastic no ticks and no pops.Super clean background.SONG TWO Turn The Water Black Plays Beautifully with 1 light tick only.No pops and no background noise.SONG THREE has 7 very light ticks only.SONG FOUR plays Great with 1 light tick only.No background noise.SONG FIVE Take Your Clothes Plays Beautifully with no ticks or pops.No background noise.SONG SIX Ugliest Part Of Your Body (Reprise) plays great no ticks and no pops.SONG SEVEN Mother People plays with some light ticks throughout song.SONG EIGHT Chrome Plated Megaphone is a long song which has 14 total ticks and pops at very beginning of song then for plays very well with no ticks or pops for nearly 5 and 1/2 minutes until near end of song there are approximately 20 revolutions with a tick that ranges from very light to light until song fades out.One thing I noticed about all the songs on both sides is even though some play with ticks and some pops at times none play with a background hiss at all.If buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell.
