Description
During the next few weeks I will be listing for auction a number of very collectible jazz albums from a DJ Collection from a Jazz Station, most all records will be from the late fifties to early 60s, most of the covers have the DJ's name on the cover, some have play times written by the songs on the cover, some had a sticker on the label that leaves yellow residue. The records range from vg to nm visually. I won't have time to play grade all of them so if you want one play graded please email a question on the album and I will do that for you.
Rapidly nearing the end of the albums from this collection, my thanks for all the support.
Low opening bid to save on listing fees, no reserve. Please see other jazz albums listed as there are many jazz collectibles here.
COVER: Intact, nice gloss print front, back has considerable yellowing on paper back, DJ's orange sticker upper right on back similar to residue size on Label, promo stamped on back, sides and play times noted by songs.
VINYL: This one is very nice but has two visible scratches, one of which I can feel, It is on Social Call but it is not audible, I played the entire track; don't know about you but this is one of those albums I shouldn't play to work by.... I'd stop to listen, played enough of the other track to know that one is not audible either. RVG is scratched in the trail off on both sides, not stamped. There is no white noise from scratches, it plays very nice but it could use a professional cleaning just to remove all the years of storage.
LABELS: Residue from DJ's orange sticker and promo stamped on the opposite label, couple light spindle marks.
NOTES: Includes the original wax paper sleeve I received it in, will ship record and cover in a plastic cover, record outside of the record cover.
Songs: A night at Tony's; Blue Concert; Stupendous-Lee; Deltitnu; Capri; Blue Lights; The infants song; Social call; not sure when this album was cut but there are two recording dates, one for each side, the 1st being May 19, 1954 and the 2nd being May 26, 1955.
COMBIMNED SHIPPING: Since there are a number of these albums yet to list, I will issue an invoice to an individual every four albums won unless a request is received for an invoice for less than four. I have aquired an electronic scale so shipping costs can be determined more readily.
Thanks for looking, happy bidding & listening. Shipping is to lower 48 and includes delivery confirmation, all others please wait till actual postage costs are known before paying, there will be an additional charge of $1.00 for the record mailer, no other shipping and handling charges. Satisfaction guaranteed or money back.
To U.S.; if bidding exceeds $5.00 deduct $1.00 shipping, over $10.00 deduct $2.00 shipping, over $15.00 deduct $3.00 shipping, over $20.00 shipping is free. I will also allow combined shipping at one price, plus 50 cents per additional album up to 4 albums; previous discount applies per album, i.e. 4 at $4.00 each receives no discount, charge would be $5.90 shipping for four at $4.00 each. Over Seas, similar to above except $1.00 per $5.00 spent continues after $20.00 to potentially free shipping also and additional shipping cost per album is actual shipping cost.
DECLARED VALUE: Buyer advises value to be declared; insurance available on request.
