Description
Just in....single owner collection of top early stereo collectables on Decca HMV Columbia & Mercury. Beautiful condition to these, all playgrading full near mint so far.
Lovely completely unmarked condition Uk White Gold ASD 400 of Silvestri & the Vienna Philharmonic. they play Prokofiev: Love of 3 Oranges, Rimsky-Korsakov Capriccio Espagnol & Excerpts from Gayaneh by Khatchaturian.
Big stereo corner flipback sleeve. First white & gold stereophonic labels, includes 1st type picture inner. This has silent surfaces on my high end moving coil, so I am presuming this has been barely played in its 50 years, two light fine non feelable marks did not sound on a high end system after the clean. No splits, bends writing or other faults with the sleeve. Lovely big audiophile valve stereo sound to this, a delight from start to finish. Definitive performances to two works on this very sought after original, here is the original review:
This is an outstandingly vivid recording of some extremely vivid music, and the Vienna Phil. sound as though they thoroughly enjoyed their excursion into what, to them, must be largely unfamiliar territory. This is just the sort of music that profits from top-grade stereo treatment, and though neither conductor nor players seem quite to feel the variation movement in Capriccio Espagnol, performances are otherwise spirited, and the quality splendid.
This will be cleaned on a wash and vacuum machine unless requested not, given a vpi antistatic inner and placed in a new heavy poly outer. We post in new custom made corrugated cardboard boxes, and this will be sent signed for, insured.
