The Classic album one of the best metal albums of all time. Astro Creep is different. It's Fresh even today after all these years. Nothing else sounds like it. The music is very advanced for it's time and was awesome!!! Who does't like More Human Than Human and Super Charger Heaven? Sure not every track is as stand out as others, but they are all excellent examples of creative musical writing. The Album starts with Electric Head Part 1 (The Agony), which starts out with some really neat ambient medieval organ tune that leads into some crazy industrial factory like sounds that key off the drums and start the barrage of metal that will continue to blast throughout. The song has an excellently catchy chorus and sets the dark tone of the album. Super Charger Heaven is a jamming metal song with racing guitar riffs and sounds of motor revs hidden carefully in the mix. It relentlessly jams out a killer riff that only the Lead Guitarist J could have pulled off. It had a very fast feel to it and is very smooth. Real Solution #9 is like an Experimental Project of some kind and has a very strange sound in comparison to the previous two. Not as stand out as some of the other tracks, but still a classic and it's about Charles Manson and his followers. Creature of The Wheel is a really grinding heavy song. Has some nice undertones and a whole set of lyrics that are sung under the music and blend in with the metal, only to be Screaming by the chorus., Has a scary kind of doom filled sound. Then we get to one of my personal favs. Electric Head Part 2 (The Ecstasy) has an unforgettable chorus inspired by Elvis. I want it, I need, it I love it!!! Then we get to a strange one indeed. Grease Paint and Monkey Brains has some really neat low key lyrics and a cool western metal sound. Samples of Records slowing and crazy maniacal laughter fills the background of the song. A one of a kind, but not as stand out as some of the others. Then we have I Zombie!!! I love this song! From the uber fast paced space sound in the guitar riffs to the awesome prolonged singing of the Chorus. This song jams out!!! And it was easily one of a kind sound for it's time. Nothing sounded like it and still doesn't really. Then we have the all time classic More Human Than Human. This song is great with excellent use of guitar buildup. Starting with what sounds like a skipping record and then moving into a faster pace, only to really rev it up and let it loose during the chorus. And excellent example of Metal at it's best. From here he go onto the down hill side of the record and enter into some more strange and unusual sounds in El Phantasmo and The Chicken-Run Blast-O-Rama. Not as stand out as some of the previous songs, but has a great relentless riff that jams throughout and has some nice maniacal laughing and screaming samples. Then we have Blur The Technicolor. This track uses some killer guitar flanger effects to make one of the coolest metal riffs ever. Sounds very spacey and tripped out like the rest of the album. Then finally we have the final track and it's hidden riff. Blood Milk and Sky is a dark and brooding song that finishes the album off nicely. It also has a hidden riff at the end called The Sidewalk Ends Where The Bug Parade Begins. If you are one of the few people who have heard Rob Zombies newer stuff and have not heard this album I simply say you need to buy this immediately. It is one of the Best metal albums of all time, but if you like Rob Zombie you can't go wrong here. Astro Creep 2000 will never die.
