Description
This is a vinyl LP copy of Will Powers' 1983 album Dancing For Mental Health on Island Records. "Will Powers" was the stage name used by celebrity photographer Lynn Goldsmith when she created a self-help comedy music album. It uses affirmations set to dance music to poke fun at the self-help gurus popular at the time. Will Powers is portrayed by Goldsmith during the spoken word sections as well as in the sung sections with her voice shifted downward in pitch to sound male.
Goldsmith's key musical collaborators were Jacob Brackman and Steve Winwood. Todd Rundgren mixed the album and celebrity contributors included Sting, Nile Rodgers, Carly Simon and Tom Bailey, among others. The album produced two hit singles: "Kissing With Confidence" and "Smile."

Album is excellent. Has been tested and vacuum cleaned. Original inner sleeve is excellent.Cover is excellent as well, showing only slight ring wear and with gold promo stamp on back with the number S 855336 above it. Please see pictures for further condition, and feel free to ask questions!
