Description

This is a great copy of the very scarce Decca 3-record set "Harlem Seen Through Calypso Eyes" by Wilmoth Houdini and his Royal Calypso Orchestra. Cover is in excellent shape apart from some fading on the spine; no splits in the record pockets or spine tears. Condition of all records (Decca 18100, 18101, 18102) is E- with light scuffs, and on 18101-A there is one pressing flaw that clicks for 6 grooves. All six tunes in this set were recorded at one session on September 17, 1940, including "The Million Dollar Pair of Feet," which is a tribute to Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, then one of Harlem's most revered residents. Please note that I will ship this set with the records removed from the album and packed separately in the box so as to prevent breakage. I have run many auctions over the past 22 years and have never had a single complaint on my grading or shipping methods, so bid with confidence!
