Wishbone Ash – Argus First Pressing

The fantastic and very sought after first pressing of Argus by Wishbone Ash.  The album has the black and blue hexagon designlabel with silver text and first pressing matrix codes.  The jacket is gatefold with no text on theback and the original design.  If youhave any questions about this being a first pressing for confirmation pleasedon’t hesitate to ask.

Vinyl:
Lovely and clean and shiny black.  Thewhole album has been fully play tested and there are no hops, skips orjumps.  There are a few light and gentlecrackles here and there on both sides but nothing that got in the way of agreat listening experience. The mastering is great with a lovely warm tone andgreat bass.  When angled into the lightthere are several fine surface marks and a couple of slightly faded areas butthese are only on the very surface and don’t seem to correspond with any audibledefects. 

Jacket:
The jacket is in nice, clean condition and structurally good. It has an area ofdamage on the spine, a couple of creases on the front and some surface scuffsthat you can see when you angle it into the light. Also, the edges at the openingar looking a bit soft but generally, its pretty good.

Inner Sleeves:
The original inner sleeve (which I believe was generic paper but do your ownresearch) has been replaced at some point with an EMI anti static sleeve, whichis in good order.

Packaging:
The record will be left in its inner sleeve but removed from the outer jacket.  The outer jacket and record will be placedalongside each other in a Spincare polythene UV resistant protective outersleeve.  For outer packaging I use brandnew stiff card record mailers.  The wholepackage will be placed inside a recyclable plastic outer mailer (made fromrecycled plastic) to keep your record protected from the elements just in caseMr Postman leaves it outside your door.  Allpossible precautions will be taken to ensure your record arrives in thecondition advertised.

Grading:
I don’t provide a record collector grading as this is so subjective and differsgreatly from collector to collector. Instead, I give a fully detailed, frankand honest description backed up by clear photos so that you can grade therecord yourself, according to your own requirements. I’m happy to answer anyquestions you might have.

Postage:
I use Royal Mail second class to keep the delivery cost down for the buyer. Iadd on 75p to cover the cost of protective sleeves and packaging.
