Description

An original 1st press of ARGUS on the UK MC label from 1971. Matrix 2L/2L. Stampers 1-BC/1-BC. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. We also have the original blue and white Decca poly-lined inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks per side. There's also a small semi-feelable one in the intro to 'Time Was' - does sound [detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Thanks to those early stampers and the great preservation the audio is superb. There's little to pick fault with. Just the very lightest touch of static occasionally noticeable in 'STREAM'. The only issue which is noticeable is during 'Time Was' - there's a small mark which sounds. You'll get ten ticks in the intro. There's one click in the intro to 'Sword' too. But if you can live with those issues - the rest of the LP will play back top-level. Very addictive audio.
Cover (Vg+) Difficult to find in top level condition - but this example is still looking pretty tidy. Clean front and rear without creasing - and none of the usual ageing you often find. The interior looks great with only very light handling. Edge wear is light for this title. The spine is of with a bit of wear and creasing. The text is still all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
