Up for auction is an extremely rare album! This is Witchcraft Coven - Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls on Mercury Records. This is the white label promo version of this album, and the sleeve and artwork are extremely awesome! It is a gatefold with an inner cardboard portion somewhat like a pager in a book. This album was most likely only available as. A promo, because I cannot imagine Mercury records putting this album out, with the given subject matter in 1968. The music is pretty interesting ritualistic heavy prog in the vein of recent bands such as Blood Ceremony, or an older band like Black Widow. The album has seen better days. The sleeve is in good condition with normal shelf wear for an album of its age. This includes wear around the edges, and a couple of tears along the bind. One of these I is approximately an inch and a half long and starts at the top corner. The other tear is in the center of the binding and is approximately half an inch long. The record itself has a typical mercury inner sleeve, but one side has been colored black. The record is in fairly good condition with some light scratches that appear as if they wouldn't affect playback. I don't currently have a working turn-table to be able to test this record, however.
