Description
Three vintage Beatles LP's, "With The Beatles", "Beatles For Sale", and "Help", all in mint condition, still in sealed shrink wrap. They are on the Parlophone label, made in the Philippines. These albums were purchased by me in Manila in 1986, while on assignment to cover the re-election of President Ferdinand Marcos. These stereo albums appear to be the same as their British counterparts, with some minor variations: in the upper right corner, each cover carries a tiny, 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) logo of PARI, the Philippine Association of Record Industry, Inc., and on the back of two albums, in tiny letters, is the wording: "Made And Printed In The Philippines". Flaws are as follows: The shrink wrap on "Help" is slightly torn at the bottom of the reverse side (not visible from the front).
By the way, I ended up having dinner with the First Lady, Imelda Marcos, while on that trip in 1986, something the Beatles chose not to do some 20 years earlier.
