Housed in a twin-flipback printed cover "DILLARD & Cie, lmp. Paris" is Printer's name?
Inner sleeve is not original
This is The Beatles' debut album in France.
As it is an orange label and we believe this to be a third pressing from 1965. Others including http://www.vinylmaniaque.com/rep-list-2-hoeq5o9w/beat-33-2o8c6e7mp.pdf say it is a second press. To be frank we are not sure.
The song title of the 3rd. track of side-2, "You Really Got A Hold On Me", was printed "You Really Gotta Hold On Me" on both the back cover and label.
The French albums were largely the same as those in the UK, although some early releases were retitled, and the equivalents of Please Please Me and With The Beatles were issued in reverse order.
Odeon logo mark and catalog No. "OSX 222" were printed at the upper left of the front cover.
Odeon logo mark and catalog No. "OSX 222" were printed at the upper right of the back cover.
Odéon France changed from a green label to a dark blue label shortly after Les Beatles (OSX 222) was released, then changed from blue to orange in 1965.
“Recording produced by George Martin" was printed at the bottom of the back cover

All of our records for sale are from our own personal collection unless otherwise stated. They were generally purchased at the time of release so there are a lot of early pressing matrix numbers.
Many/Most are between 35-50 years old and have been played. Some more extensively than others. Occasionally some will have the odd note on the inner sleeve saying how much they cost and when where purchased
Not all have been played recently and we are happy to oblige by giving the record a run out for interested buyers on request as we still play vinyl all the time - but our tastes have changed hence these listings.
This one played and tested as referred to above.
General
Condition: (disc/sleeve)
Condition is expressed as two abbreviations, separated by a slash. The first refers to the disc and the second to the sleeve. The abbreviations we use are as follows:
M (Mint), EX (Excellent), VG (Very Good), G (Good), F (Fair), B (Bad)
For example: EX/VG indicates that the record is in Excellent condition and the sleeve in Very Good condition.
Grading Definitions
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and the contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
Our covers are graded with their age considered.
The vast majority of items we list are in Excellent or Very Good condition. We only use the 'Mint' grading for items with no visible flaws at all, so many of our excellent items are in very near mint condition.
All records play on our own home record players but if you are really unhappy on delivery at the condition of the record as per its description let us know ASAP and we’ll sort it out for you immediately. We only want satisfied customers. For this sale the record has been visually graded but happy to give it a spin for you - just drop me a note.
