UK yellow & black Parlophone stereo PCS 3045.The earliest UK press of this LP, rare as a stereo, matrixes YEX 110 - 2/YEX 111 - 2.
Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. back sleeve credit, large "stereo" to top right front. "Jobete" credit for "Money" (see photo). Labels have "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." and "Recording First Published 1963" wording, but not "Sold In The U.K..." wording on labels.
This is a really nice copy, and very much cleaner than the ones which normally turn up. Cover is still in a very clean and presentable condition without any major faults, and still has a nice fresh look to it. The plain black and white design of the cover looks very tired looking on the majority of copies of this LP that do materialise. Corners are still crisp and well defined, spine is intact. One or two of the very lightest of handling creases, mainly confined to the disc insertion part of the sleeve, but damage very negligible. Small hairline scrape to top left, underneath Parlophone logo, see picture. Back of cover has a little light handling etc staining, but this is extremely light and mainly confined to the extreme left hand side. Flipbacks are intact, no creasing, lifting or peeling. Small red penned "B" to top right hand of back corner, underneath catalogue number, see picture.
Original period Emitex paper/polythene liner in complete and uncreased condition, although with one small and neat closed three inch seam split at right hand side.
The LP labels are very clean, and still have a nice lustre to them. There is no tearing. There are some hairline marks around the spindle areas on both sides, but only hairline. (Note that the hairline mark visible to the left of the spindle hole on Side One is a manufacturing flawline, and NOT a scrape). Centre around spindle holes is not overly worn.
LP is flat with no curving or warping. LP itself has about four or five of the lightest of hairline "paper" flaw type marks, with one visible near the beginning of side two. However, these are all superficial, surface only. There are no deep scratches or gouges. Playback throughout is really superb. There are no points at which clicks, continuous or otherwise can be heard. Just given both sides a spin, and the sound is excellent, bright and clear, great vintage stereo recording. I would say that this is an LP which has been played a few times, but not excessively so, and with much more care than was the norm.
All in all a fantastic example of this very scarce early pressing.
