THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
1963 UK 1st *STEREO* VARIANT PRESSING* LP
This rare and Excellent UK 1963 1st STEREO pressing variant is in the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3045
The side 2 label bears THREE errors:
- The misspelt 'DOMION' (instead of 'Dominion') as the publishing credit for track 3.
- The track 2 title is misspelt as 'YOU REALLY GOTTA HOLD ON ME' (instead of 'You Really Got A Hold On Me').
- The publishing credit for the song 'Money' is 'Jobete Mus. NCB' (it should be 'Dominion Belinda.')
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.

Otherwise, the labels carry all the usual 1st pressing hallmarks;No 'Sold in UK..' statement but with 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims
A 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the centre hole of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed, large stereo logo cover with the early 'darker' front image.
The rear track-listing bears the 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' misspelling.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2 (the -1/-1 cut was released in Germany only)
Stamper codes: 3/AM & 2/AR

An extremely clean & bright pair with minimal spindle wear to each centre hole and no writing or other such blemishes.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are very clean but do bear a number of light surface marks and the occasional light scratch in strong daylight. Close & careful inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals numerous wispy hairlines marks but no further significant marks or wear.
Play: VERY GOOD +
Despite having received a numerous careful plays, both sides play without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or indeed any major faults. My careful playcheck at volume picked up a touch of wear on the final track on side 1 ('Money'), but no other evidence of groovewear distortion or any background noise elsewhere. All bands between the tracks play without interference and there are no clicks, pops or any other such distractions.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
An extremely respectable example of this earliest of stereo covers. The front panel is clean & glossy with a bold and bright image with just slight age-toning to the white areas, along with a light disc impression & a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle. There are moderate bumps to the upper left and lower right corners but no wear or damage the other two or either opening edge. The rear panel displays some general handling wear but is free from any significant markings or any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are fully intact, unworn & undamaged.

EXCELLENT
Clean & white with the inevitable light disc impression but no heavy creasing, writing or seams splits.
