Artist & Title: Various Artists ?– Woodstock: Music From The Original Soundtrack And More
Very rare original MINT 1970 UK FIRST PRESSING 21-track triple vinyl LP on the plum & red Atlantic label, featuring music from the soundtrack to the motion picture. Besides an extract from Hendrix's legendary performance, other artists featured include Canned Heat, Joan Baez, Crosby Stills & Nash, the Who and Santana. In the original three-way fold-out sleeve, which has no visible shelfwear and shows little signs of its 43 years of age. The records are in ‘as new’ Mint condition and sound as wonderful as ever, while the cover fully merits an Excellent grading. See pics. A superb collector’s copy of this historic artefact – which cost me 7 Pounds and 10 Shillings in 1970.
Highly desirable for its first pressing matrices, and Mint condition vinyl, and increasingly difficult to find in ANY kind of condition. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this extreme rarity to your collection at an extremely advantageous price.

This historic triple LP of the original Woodstock Festival is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.
“It's almost impossible to regard the soundtrack albums for the Michael Wadleigh documentary Woodstock, simply as music, apart from the event that inspired them or what that event has come to represent.”
This is the extremely rare real thing: a genuine MINT CONDITION 1970 UK first pressing. The records are in mint condition and the cover is in excellent condition with no scuffing or other shelfwear. All items are free from any major defects. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1970, not reprints or replacements. The LPs are the original 1970 UK stereo LPs, which were only played once or twice on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.
“There was an amazing array of legendary talent on hand at Woodstock; though not all of it is captured here.”
This triple LP set was originally released in conjunction with the movie and therefore it's also called Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More but it's more commonly referred to as Woodstock I. The album was very successful and reached No.1 on the Billboard Pop Album charts in 1970.
This may be your only ONCE IN A LIFETIME chance to own this rare piece of music history in this condition.
“There are some fine moments here, especially the CS&N and CSN&Y tunes, including ‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes’ (perhaps not perfect in voice but a very inspired performance), and ‘Wooden Ships’, with a decent if not thrilling ‘Sea of Madness’, in between.”
It's almost impossible to regard the soundtrack albums for the Michael Wadleigh documentary Woodstock, simply as music, apart from the event that inspired them or what that event has come to represent. Music from the Original Soundtrack and More: Woodstock was originally released by Atlantic's Cotillion imprint as a three-LP set in a gatefold sleeve. It topped the Billboard Charts for four weeks and sold two million copies. It sold so well that Cotillion issued a sequel double album of more music from the festival that never appeared in the film. The LPs took the music out of the historical sequence of the festival and re-ordered (and edited) it for a sense of flow. Whether or not it accomplished its objective has been the subject of much debate and beyond this review's scope. What is relevant is that these performances signified via their spotty recording quality -- and sometimes dodgy performances -- that there was an amazing array of legendary talent on hand at Woodstock; though not all of it is captured here.
