Description
Pepper Adams Plays The Compositions of Mingus Workshop Jazz LP Workshop-219. Original stereo deep groove pressing with orange label. Sidemen include Thad Jones, Bob Cranshaw, Hank Jones, Charles McPhearson, Zoot Sims, Bernie Powell, Danny Richman, and Paul Chambers. Tunes are: Fables of Faubus\Black Light\Song With Orange\Carolyn\Better Git It In Your Soul\Incarnation\Portrait\Haitian Fight Song\Strollin Honies. One of a handful of titles released under Motown Record's short-lived Workshop Jazz label.
Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light
Cover is a nice VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. Some wear on the corners. The printing on the edge is sharp and clear. Some small areas of light wear on the seams. No splits. Small punch hole in upper left corner. The back cover slick is bright and clean. Nice example of this cover.
LP is a nice glossy VG+ with some light sleeve wear, spotting and a few hairlines, nothing feelable or serious. Side B has a couple of light thin scuffs, again not feelable or serious. Labels are nice with some light wear around the deep groove on side one and several small marks on side 2, otherwise clean. Also includes very cool original picture sleeve with pictures of seminal Motown, Gordy, and Tamla LP's. Sleeve has a punch hole but no splits. A nice example of this very rare and desireable LP.
Overall not perfect or NM but a nice copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make most collectors very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Check out my feedback for results of recent rare record auctions.
Grading
Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
Packaging
LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.
Terms and Payment
Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arragements are made before end of auction.
Shipping and Insurance
I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.

$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.
International
Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy
I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP. No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
