Description
i am selling off a large part of my personal cd / record collection. having collected cds/ records for the last 25 years i have gathered together a significant and diverse collection. there are a lot of cds and records i no longer listen to.
all items will be posted in professional mailers. i have tried to give an accurate description of the record you are buying below.
cover is in NEAR MINT condition there are no defects - cover is in superb condition for its 30 years history
WILL THIS EVER GET A CD RELEASE OR THE REMASTER TREATMENT WITH A 200 GRAM VINYL RE-ISSUE - HUGELY HUGELY UNLIKELY -
i hadnt listened to this for a long time - as you can see i live in northern ireland and this is one of those rarities of irish punk that rarely comes up for sale. while this is on the polydor label - xdreamysts were originally released on the local good vibrations label with other local bands such as the undertones etc.
i know this is quite rare album so i listened to it from start to finish today to see how it plays . i played it on my Rega P3 with a goldring 2400 Cartridge. there are are couple of minor defects which i will give more detaill on.
the vinyl does have some light marks. but plays very well. i have given an honest and detailed appraisal below. as a collector myself - i know how important it is to get a good description particularly with vinyl. too often sellers dont even play the records they are selling - i suppose this is because unlike you and me they dont have a turntable and probably have never experienced the joy of analogue.
on side one during the first track (stay the way you are) the record skips a groove but only once. during the final track there is some minor distortion of the sound in a couple of places. otherwise side one plays fine without any other noticeable surface noise
on side two the only defect i noticed was during track 3 were there are about 6 minor clicks / pops - it doesnt jump and they arent very loud but they are there.
overall this does play really well and the defects above are there for you to consider - i have examined the record and it is quite clean however if professionally cleaned these minor defects may be removed
