Germfree Adolescents the CLASSIC album from X-Ray Spex was originally released in Nov1978, and this Sept. 2023 reissue includes a great colour photo insert with brand new sleeve notes!
Also comes with bonus tracks "Highly Infammable" (A Single not originally on the Album!) and "Age" (B-Side Single not originally on the Album!
__________________Carving out a niche in the heady early days of the British punk-rock scene wasn't easy. X-Ray Spex prevailed by creating one hell of a ruckus with guitar and a sax providing the wall of noise and by focusing attention on irrepressible bandleader and vocalist Poly Styrene. Her songs dealt with teenage boredom and the absurdities of life in the modern world. alas, Germ Free Adolescents was the only original punk from the time document album this wildly unique and entertaining band left us to remember them by. But what a document it still is!!
Included on the album are the classics hit singles 'The Day The World Turned Day-Glo' and 'Germ Free Adolescents', both making Top Of The Pop appearances at the time!
