The band fought with Virgin Records for years over their back catalogue and contractual obligations, as well as the financial distribution of their share of royalties. They eventually came to an agreement which allowed for the release of this title by Andy's company; they discovered during the remastering process that the original tapes had misaligned polarity issues which hindered the audio playback from presenting proper clarity and definition. Remastered by John Dent at Loud Mastering, Taunton, UK, this new master is a significant sonic improvement over the original master tapes and releases. While eventually releasing this new master on CD in April of 2014, they produced this vinyl package for sale to their loyal fan base through the Ape House web site in 2010. It is packaged with the original art work intended by Andy but vetoed by the suits at Virgin. It sold out almost immediately and now is extremely difficult to find.
This copy came directly from Ape House upon its original release - it was not sealed (some copies showed up through secondary market sellers that were shrink-wrapped post-delivery) and was immediately filed away in inventory.
This will most likely be the only copy we make available for sale.
