Description

A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE VINYL LP from the 1960's by the Yardbirds called "Five Live Yardbirds".

This is a live album recorded at the Marquee Club, London.

This is a U.K. pressing issued in 1964 on the Columbia label (33SX 1677)(mono) and is a First Pressing issue on the blue / black label.

The matrix numbers are:- XAX 2725 - 1N (side one)(see photo) and XAX 2726 - 1N (side two).

It has a total of 10 tracks:- Too Much Monkey Business / I Got Love If You Want It / Smokestack Lightnin' / Goodmorning Little Schoolgirl / Respectable / Five Long Years / Pretty Girl / Louise / I'm A Man / Here 'Tis.

The vinyl is in a GOOD condition. I always grade and examine records under a bright table lamp and there are many surface marks evident on both sides, but nothing too serious. However I have played the whole of both sides and they play fine and sound great.

The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.

It comes housed in its original lined Emitex inner sleeve in EXCELLENT condition.

The laminated flipback picture cover is in a GOOD condition. There is some shelf wear along the top and bottom edges and the spine. The opening edge has some feathering and creasing. The title on the spine is still readable (see photo). The back cover has faded with age and appears rather grubby.

Please feel free to bid, but winning bidders - please pay promptly. If payment is a problem, then please do not bid. Payment by PayPal is much preferred.

The record will be sent in a professional mailer with two stiffeners for safe transit. For records of high value they are sent double-boxed for even greater protection.

The pictures shown are of the actual item.

Let me just clarify the playing of this LP. Whilst I have graded it as GOOD, due to the surface marks and mentioned that it plays fine and sounds great, it appears to be unaffected by the surface marks and the sound quality is really terrific. There is very, very little surface noise and it is quiet between many of the tracks. It certainly plays as EXCELLENT and no-one need worry about the playing condition or sound quality. EMI / Columbia made strong vinyl back in the mid-60’s and this really stands up to the test. Thank you. Max.
