Description

Considered by many as a masterpiece of the german 70’s german progressive scene, A Meditation Mass is a long cosmic suite with succesfully merges ethmic, jazz and cosmic elements in a very unique way. Flute, guitars and electronics lead this oozing and flowing head tripper which takes it’s cues both from cosmic music and the most jazzier side of experimental krautrock (think Kollektiv, Ibliss or Thirsty Moon) but, again, sounds like nothing like else. Fronted by the duo of brothers Rolf (Moog, flute, vibes, electric piano, guitar, vocals) and Klaus Fichter (drums & percussion) and including also Matthias Nicolai (guitar, bass) and Peter Elbracht (flute), the band was masterly produced by no other but Achim Reichel who got them signed to Brain, where they cut their one and only album before dissappearing into obscurity and legend… Comes in a strictly limited issue of 300 copies with a die-cut cover (very much like the original) and printed insert. this deluxe re-issue is a New Mint Unplayed copy!, please check my auctions for other folk, psych and rock lp's, good luck and thanks for looking!
