3ChordRecords is offering for sale an Excellent 1972 UK First Press LP by YES "Close to The Edge" on Atlantic Records.
Cat No. K50012
The LP is pressed on thick black vinyl and is in Excellent condition, the record retains much of its original sheen, there are a number of light scratches visible under bright light, however these are not deep enough to affect the sound quality of the LP with only the lightest of background 'LP crackle' occassionally audible between tracks. The labels are excellent with only light wear, the Matrix numbers are A1:B1 confirming this is a FIRST PRESS RECORD. The record comes in the original lyric inner sleeve, this sleeve is VG as it has some creasing, ringwear and seam splits, however the lyrics are fully readable and there are no significant tears. The Gatefold picture sleeve is textured, confirming this is an original release. The sleeve is in excellent condition with only light wear on some edges and corners and very light ringwear on the rea, the inside landscape picture is textured and clean, the spine wording is fully readable, there are no tears or seam splits. Overall a very strong First Press sleeve.
Overall an Excellent first pressing of this hard to find Prog rock LP. Bid with confidence.
