YES THE YES ALBUM UK ATLANTIC PLUMB / RED LABELS A1/B1

For Auction is the classic Lp THE YES ALBUM by YES, released in 1971 on ATLANTIC RECORDS with the catalog number ATLANTIC 2400 101. A very FIRST PRESSING, The record is on the Plumb / Red  Atlantic labels, matrix # 2400101 A-1 / 2400101 B-1, a very first pressing .  This is by far the most desirable pressing of this classic LP.  These early Plumb / Red pressing are increasingly hard to find in this condition!      The labels themselves are in EXCELLENT condition, no writing or grubbiness, and just a few light spindle traces that can be seen when tilting the record under a strong light.   The vinyl is in Superb EXCELLENT++ condition! It lays perfectly flat on the turntable.  There are no scratches or scuffs, and one or two of the lightest paper scuffs when tilted and examined under strong light, which have no effect on the play at all.   It plays with NO loud pops and NO loud clicks at all!  Some would even describe the vinyl as NEAR MINT.     It has the early "Macneil Press Ltd" unlaminated sleeve with the "Atlantic Super" boxed logo, that only came with the earliest of copies. The outer sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition , NO grubbiness, NO writing, NO tears and NO seam splits.  It does show corner wear, with some slight "rounding" on the upper left corner (this can be seen in the second last picture at the very bottom).  The spine is firm and intact, although it does have wear along it as seen in the picture.  There is  a mark on the bottom right front of the sleeve, about 1 1/2 inch in length.  Similar to the unlaminated sleeve of Led Zepplin II, these covers wore quite easily.   MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN AND CHECK THE PICTURES FOR YOURSELF!           GRADING    All records are graded to Record Collector magazine (UK) guidelines.  I never use the grade MINT to describe an LP, as I really can't prove a record has not been played and anyone can find a minuscule fault if they look for one.  Besides visually grading I play grade the records on a Music Hall 5.1 with a Grado Gold cartridge tracked at 1.5 grams.      Shipping:

Canada: Ontario = $9 - Quebec = $10 - Others = Inquire

USA: $9 Surface - $11 Air - $15 Expedited

International: $11 Surface - $18 Air

All records are sent in proper LP mailers, with the outer sleeve separate from the vinyl.  Double LP's, gatefold and heavy vinyl may cost more,  if they weight over 500 grams.  All US and International shipments come with insurance for up to $100 included in the price.  I offer a shipping discount on the purchase of more than one LP.  I will happily follow any personal packaging requests you may have.
