Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon) 1973 UK 1st DEMONSTRATION Apple pressing of the 'Approximately Infinite Universe' double LP. Released on the 16th February 1973, these demo pressings would have been given out to reviewers or radio stations before the official release date.
'Approximately Infinite Universe' was Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band's third album on the Beatles own label. It is one of the rarer Apple LP's to locate due to it's incredibly poor sales back in 1973 having peaked at only 193 in the charts. John Lennon co-produced this LP with Yoko and also appears as Joel Nohnn (an anagram of John Lennon) playing guitar and backing vocals. A much underrated, experimental avant garde album from Yoko and John.
Released on the custom 'Apple Records' label all four sides state 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE'. Sides 1 and 3 along with one inner sleeve feature a radio station stamp. This comes fully complete with the original lyric inner sleeves and correct gatefold cover. Sides three and four also feature the crossed out matrix numbers - SAPD0 1002 A-1U and SAPD0 1002 A-1U. These were to be the original catalog numbers but were changed late in the production schedule. All four sides of the vinyl also feature 1G mothers and stampers making this one of the very, very first copies to be produced.

Side 2. SAP 101 B-2U 1 G
Side 3. SAP 102 A-1U 1 G
Side 4. SAP 101 B-1U 1 G
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition.
All sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults at all, just light crackle in places.
The labels on sides 1 and 3 are in VERY GOOD+ condition with an original radio station stamp to each side and some sticker residue. The labels on sides 2 and 4 are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition. Some ring wear to the front and some very light ring wear to the rear.
The inner sleeves are in EXCELLENT condition.
