Amazing !!! An unbelievable piece: What we have here is an unheard-of TEST PRESSING of this monster Yoko Ono/John Lennon collaboration with a stellar session crew and guest stars which includes, among others. Mr. Mick Jagger,  "Mr.D."  himself . While many test pressings often have alternate or demo- versions of known, later released songs, and while it is possible that this particular test pressing contains demo or alternate versions of some of the tracks, please don’t take our word that it does: unfortunately, we are not familiar with the entire album (we know only a few songs) and we regret  we cannot provide any competent information on how different this TEST PRESSING may be from the official release. Please contact us if you have any questions. The generic white test pressing label is (almost) entirely blank and without any details whatsoever except for the legal disclaimer.

The album comes with the xerox-copied booklet with replicates most, but not all, of the original cover artwork and provides track listing and musician credits..

Written and recorded in New York City with Elephant's Memory, Approximately Infinite Universe displayed Yoko Ono finally coming into her own right. Showing off her rock capabilities, she finds the hard spot with such cuts as "Yang Yang" and "I Felt Like Smashing My Face in a Clear Glass Window." But she shows gentle sentiment in cuts such as "Song for John" and the wonderful "Looking Over from My Hotel Window." Although this record, another double on vinyl, could have used some editing, it is well worth delving into.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The album comes with its original xerox-copied black & white insert (booklet)

(c)             The records are pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)            The records come in poly-lined inner sleeves, which have - apparently with success - shielded the vinyl from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

(f)            Important disclosure: VISUALLY, THE RECORDS ARE NEAR MINT. HOWEVER, WE CAUTION THAT both discs have a minor, barely visible warp – a deviance of less than 1 degree from its horizontal axis (the discs are slightly concave/convex, with the center slightly sunk relative to the lip / intro groove  of the disc) . This has ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON PLAYING and is only a very minor visual flaw.

COVER : This reference pressing comes without any custom jacket, and will be shipped in its original plain, generic, white cardboard cover (NOT GRADED SEPARATELY, BUT IN A NICE CONDITION OVERALL)
