Kenshi Yonezu steps into cinematic frame with 'Iris Out / Jane Doe', a new 12" bridging anime and pop chart history for perhaps the first time ever. 'Iris Out' serves as the theme for Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc, and has broken the Billboard Global 200, making it the highest position in history so far for a Japanese-language track. Its rapid metallics and piano pace oddly recalls the garage trickery of Paul Johnson's 'Get Get Down', but the song is so sniggering, quick and hi-fi that the comparison in style ends there. 'Jane Doe' on the B pairs Yonezu with J-pop luminary Hikaru Utada in a rare collaboration, and the release also gathers global platinum hit 'Kick Back' and fresh remixes by Frost Children, bridging glitch hop and complextro in an obscene digicore flurry.
