Description
This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of the sole LP by Welsh new wave group Young Marble Giants, released in 1980. The group's sound was, to say the least, out of step with most of the music coming out of the U.K. at the time, with Alison Statton's muted, intimate vocals and the minimalist instrumentation provided by the Moxham brothers. Nonetheless, they achieved some success in the U.K., where their LP and two EPs all reached the top ten in the indie charts. The jacket has some ring wear and scuffing; corner, seam, and edge wear; light creasing and wear along the spine; and light staining on the front cover (VG+). Visually, the disc is clean with some light scraping and scuffing. Side 1 plays with some light surface noise, while side 2 plays mostly M- with some light surface noise in the last couple of tracks -- overall EX.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
