This has been one of my most-played albums just about forever. After the Beatles and the Stones, I think that the Rascals were the greatest band of the 60s. The only thing that makes you not think of them that way is quantity and not quality. Their catalog is kind of thin and they don't have the huge amount of great stuff as all the other top-tier 60s bands. but the quality and the variety of it is amazing. I can't think of anyone else who excelled at such a large variety of music. Their first successful hits were more or less garage rock and covers of RnB or Rock classics but soon they were becoming well-known for their self-written songs that ranged from straight-up pop to mellow soul to psychedelic rock. And they excelled at all of them while at the same time always sounding like themselves, so you didn't even notice how seamlessly and effortlessly they moved between the different styles. They just always sounded like The Rascals. With the exception How Can I Be Sure on which Eddie Brigatti sang lead instead of the usual Felix Cavalieri, and which is also one of their three or four best and also most covered songs. But anyway, this compilation plays like a regular release album and never sounds like a greatest hits album that is trying to stick filler material in between the hits in order to fill out the album's length.

(b)         The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)          The record is  apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)         Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-       Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine  (nothing significant)

-       Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-       Cover has two bottom corners slightly worn (BARELY VISIBLE)
