This is a forerunner of a batch of auctions I am starting this coming Sunday evening (they'll run from 7/30/06 to 8/06/06), to consist of all RARE Soul and RARE local Garage and Psych 45s (and a few LPs). Over the next week I'll also be placing similar items in my eBay STORE listings at fixed prices - please watch for 'em. FYI, I am going to be away for one weeks' time soon. Original USA pressing of IN Records #FI-11M67101, 45rpm record. Not a reissue or counterfeit. 'She Don't Got The Right' b/w 'I Try' by local teen band THE YOUNG TYRANTS. Recorded in October of 1967. IN Records was a subsidiary of FINE RECORDS of Rochester, NY. Per Mark Taylor's FINE website, only 500 copies were ordered, making it pretty damn scarce nowdays. He terms it 'monster five-star 2-sided garage'. Oh yeah! ... both sides are classic raw garage punk .... snotty lead vocal, good backup vocals, good biting guitar. 'She' is moody and melodic, it's been comped on the Class Of '66! LP. 'Try' is a rocker, hear it on the classic old comp Open Up Yer Door! #1 and also on Project Blue #3. VINYL: Visually Near Mint, in fact if you use the term 'Mint' for 45s you could use it here, if not for one thing - there is a mild warp. It does not affect play at all. I use very light tracking (1.5 grams) and not only does it track perfectly, the rise and fall of the tonearm is gentle and relatively slow. It does not shake, shimmy or drop. Vinyl is otherwise perfect, in fact it looks never played. I personally only played it once each side, to check the warp (I already had a Mint copy and a well-worn player copy for myself... the player copy may go 'on the block' soon too). LABELS: Near Mint - perfect. <<< >>> All records visually graded, under very revealing spotlights. I am a strict, conservative grader (check my feedback). NM is usually my highest grade but I rarely use it for 45s unless they're visually perfect (and virtually unplayed). NM- is what I mostly use for real clean 45s which the average person would call "like new". For the lower grades, if they look questionable, I'll playtest them and mention it. Labels have no writing, stickers, stamps, drillholes etc. unless noted in the description. No 'hidden' defects!
