Description
For auction is YUSEF LATEEF's "The Centaur And The Phoenix" RLP 337, MONO, DG, 1960. With Clark Terry, Curtis Fuller, Joe Zawinul, others.
SOUND: NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is near-flawless and very clean with only flaws being 2 or 3 isolated tics, in a couple spots on each side. Aside from these, the sound is as clean and free of routine surface noise as you can get. Overall, a beautiful playback!
VINYL: NM
Visually, the vinyl is gorgeous! Clean, glossy and newish-looking. There are no flaws I can detect. The only reason I don't call it mint is because the playback was not perfect. Deep-grooved blue "mike-and-reel" labels are in outstanding shape!
JACKET: NM
The jacket is outstanding in every way: edges and spine are solid, in good condition; corners are nice with only minimal wear; front and back covers are very clean and unmarked, with a faint"promo" stamp on the back.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A great record, plays beautifully! No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
