Description
Estate find.
ULTRA RARE 1959 TEST PRESSING CONSISTING OF TWO ONE-SIDED LPs.
In 1959 no more than 5 test pressings were made of any given title and sometimes fewer. This Menuhin test pressing was purchased by a good friend of mine & audiophile collector quite a few years ago from a retired senior H.M.V. employee living in the U.K.
Original stereo issue, white labels with typewritten title information on one of the labels, special audiophile inner sleeves. 2 1-sided LPs.
Numbers stamped in dead wax of the 2 LPs are: 2YEA 134-1; & 2YEA 133-2. Each LP also has a "G" stamper mark, which is the lowest possible stamper. SUPER ORIGINAL!!!
Lalo: Symphonie Espagnole.
Saint-Saens: Introductin and Rondo Capriccioso; & Havanaise.
Yehudi Menuhin, violin, with Sir Eugene Goossens conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Records are MINT-: VERY SHINY & CLEAN!!! PLAYS GREAT!!!
Cover is VG: bottom seam partially split; minor shelf wear; otherwise clean & sturdy.
No reserve.
Bid with confidence! I have a full refund policy for any dissatisfaction.
