Yes - The Yes Album LP gatefold 1971 Atlantic Plum/Red UK 1st Press
Rare UK 1st press on Plum/Red Atlantic label!
Both sides play superb!
CAT NO: 2400101
PRESSING DETAILS: UK 1st Press (A//1 & B//1) stamped.
SLEEVE: (VG) Original UK 1st press gatefold sleeve has mild/heavy wear from use and storage. Some rippling and lots of edge scuffing. Inside is much cleaner with less wear. Spine has heavy scuffing to the corners and with wear to the some of the text.
INNER SLEEVE: (VG+) Original polylined paper inner has no side splits. Light wear and creasing from storage.
RECORD LABELS: (VG) Both sides are very clean with only a few spindle marks to both sides when angled under bright light with some very slight sticker removal damage to side one.
VINYL CONDITION VISUALLY: Side 1 (VG-) Side 2 (VG) Vinyl is flat and glossy and when angled under bright light there are lots of light hairlines and paper scuffs to both sides. A few marks can be see in normal light. A couple of light scratches but nothing deep or serious. Both sides have been enjoyed over the years but not abused.
Strict grading using Record Collector grading system. All records are play tested on a Technics SL-1210 MK2 record player with a Shure White Label Cartridge and Stylus. All records are sent in correct record mailers or cruciform box with at least 4 cardboard stiffeners and the vinyl removed for the the original inner and put in a new polylined inner sleeve outside of the cover to make sure no splits happen during delivery. All vinyl is sent tracked and signed for.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING
All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.
M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
