Description

An original Atlantic copy from Xmas 1971 - approximately 18 months after 1st release. Matrix A3/B. The deadwax on one side also includes the original 1970 catalogue number. It's inclusion in the deadwax is a sign this pressing dates from Xmas 1971 when Kinney were asking for the Atlantic catalogue to be re-numbered. Note how the labels do not hold the Warners logo in the perimeter text. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover. We also have the original lyric insert and inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. With YES you really need to seek out the absolute best and cleanest player you can possible find - otherwise the listener will often be left disappointed. Plays clean as a whistle throughout. Hard to find fault. perhaps a couple of minor isolated ticks on side 1. Otherwise... Close on perfect.
Cover (Ex-) Don't underestimate the grading on this one. Even Ex- is a near impossible find. The covers are papery, white, and without lamination. Possibly one of THE hardest to find in decent condition. But this example exhibits hardly any surface wear, no creasing, and only possibly the faintest hint of ageing. VERY few copies will even get close to this - IN REALITY. Hardly any edge wear. harop openings and spine 100%. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidty.
Insert (Ex+) Literally perfect.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
