Description
Inherited from a relative, along with other stuff I am currently selling. This is the very first release of this sought after Yes album - and not many were made like this apparently! It is also in lovely condition. It has:-
1) Red / Maroon Atlantic labels 2) 'Campbell Connelly' label credits 3) No 'Yessongs' label credits (apparently Yessongs wasnt even formed until 1971 so any copies with 'Yessongs' on the labels are re-issues) 4) Av1 Bv2 matrix's 5) Insert has '2400 006' printed (re-issues have no cat number or a K number) 6) Cover has '2400 006 SUPER' printed on reverse and 'SUPER 2400 006' on the 'pleated' spine.
Grading:- Cover looks incredible. As this cover isnt laminated and is 51 years old I am baffled as to how it survived so well! It has no tears, no splits, no writing and no other nasties. There is also no ring wear and the cover has almost no rubbing. Any creases are super light and insignificant and this cover lies perfectly flat. Spine is not worn and all spine text is perfect. The pleats to spine ends are clearly defined. The back is lovely, again almost unrubbed and with only 1 super crease to the bottom right - but you have to look hard to notice. The only other thing I can think to mention is that the cover is a touch 'off white' - probably just ageing through time. I will grade the cover a conservative Excellent - but I would think it would be very hard to better! The insert is Near Mint - actually no I'll say Mint - it has no creases and is perfectly white. The record is very black and shiny indeed, and looks lovely! Tiny mark on 1 track which gives a few clicks - but other than that a super record. No other lines or marks and paper brushing is minimal. No hiss and barely any crackle. I will grade the record Very Good+. Labels look super with only 2 or 3 tiny spindles suggesting this record has seldom been played - certainly 5 occasions or less.
