This, a holy grail of records.."The Beatles Yesterday And Today" second state Butcher Cover is up for bids!
Everyone knows all about this record, and this is an exceptional copy, the likes of one you won't see around anymore. Most of the good copies have been peeled and mutilated. This copy is very nice and clean. A beautiful untouched example of the second state Butcher.
This "The Beatles Yesterday And Today"... is on Capitol Records #T2553 MONO...black rainbow. "1966"... Los Angeles pressing.
The cover is an unpeeled "Trunk" cover over the original "Butcher Cover". This copy is the best one I've ever seen anywhere, at shows in LA, Austin, on the internet. Hands down, the best example of this very sought after record that I have ever seen. There are no splits, no stains, no pen marks (no names and things), very clean. Very faint edge wear near the E in Yesterday, along the spine. Just a tiny little spot, it's so minor I could get away with not saying anything. The top right corner looks like some time in it's 40 years it was slightly tapped on a table top or something. I will get a picture.
There is some ring dirt around where the record sits, not ring wear. A very slight bit where other records rubbed up to it. I'll get pic's to show....That's it. This copy is NM+
You can see the butcher cover along the bottom and up the left side where the paste over was placed just off a little. It also covers part of the "File under......T2553" at the top. You can clearly see Ringo's V neck and in certain light you can make out his face.
The vinyl is even cleaner! I doubt if this record has seen a turntable more than a couple times..There are a couple light paper scuffs and one tiny supreficial surface scratch.
Comes in the original gold paper sleeve, it also is in exellent condition.
