Recordings by Josef Fuchs and Leon Rosenstein for the Beka Grand label.
Recorded in Lemberg (today Lviv, in the Ukraine) in 1907-8.

Jacob Fuchs 1880-1921, the son of a poor tailor, was one of the stars of Gimpel's Lemberg Yiddish theatre. He died young of a lung condition but his son, Leo Fuchs became one of the great Broadway and Hollywood entertainers.
Leo Rosenstein Born in Romania in 1881. Also a star of the Lemberg theatre he later emigrated to America where he continued to perform and died in Los Angeles in 1960.
Both recordings are accompanied by violin, probably Oscar Zehngut.
An excellent copy with no scratches and hardly any wear at all.
