A lovely condition and rare as hell copy of Yoko Ono's UK double album on Apple from 1973.
The label officially credits Yoko Ono & The Plastic Ono Band with Elephants Memory, Endless Strings & Choir Boys.
Released extensively in 1973 on vinyl & 8-track, copies were pressed in the UK, parts of Europe, North & South America and Japan. This her fourth complete album marked a departure from the avant-garde, experimental output, and replaced it with a more conventional rock/pop style.
There are later 1990s CD Re-issues, but there are only two UK 1973 vinyl versions with this catalogue number. One is an impossibly rare Demo copy, and the other is this one.
It comes in a lovely gatefold sleeve with Yoko's feminist essay reproduced on the inside, and her account of one of her "Astral Conversations" with John on the rear cover. Inner lyric sleeves also present.

Vinyl: Both Discs VG+/Ex - Super clean copies. Some very light superficial hairline surface marks b ut retaining a nice deep lustre and sheen. Play tested, and reproduction is good. There is a little background hiss to be heard here and there on some of the dead wax between tracks, but almost all imperfections are completely lost behind the audio tracks. All four sides play through without jumps, skips, scratches or skating. The labels are a black & white version of the standard Apple custom label design, with the half-cut on one side and a picture of Yoko on the other. Label text is black and the rim--text is in a white script font. The apple core illustration has a distinctly Sapphic look about it, but maybe that's just me!! The labels are clean with only very light signs of spindle-wear.
Sleeve: Outer - Ex A superb condition sleeve. Matt-finished gatefold sleeve with a colour photo profile of Yoko Ono on front cover. The rear cover and inner gatefold carry a panoramic shot of John & Yoko walking together. The inner gatefold contains a printed essay on feminism by Yoko that was published in an abridged version in the New York Times in Feb 1972. The full version appeared later that year in Sundance magazine. The rear cover features Yoko's transcript of one of her "Astral Conversations" with John. Structurally, the outer sleeve is in super shape. No creases, tears or splits, all edges lovely and crisp, seams securely glued and spine completely solid. There are some light emboss marks on the front cover. The lyric inners are completely intact too, although they do show some signs of foxing and age discolouration. (VG+)
It's a superb copy of an incredibly scarce Apple double from Yoko. Genuine collectors item.
