Over the following weeks I will be listing records from one such collection. Collected mostly during the 1960’s and 70’s this set of records have been well preserved and cared for some dating back to over 50 years old!! Our regular customers will be aware that if we do grade a record at Near Mint expect it to have only been played a handful of times at most and to sound superb. We hope you enjoy the records we will be offering as much as we have in presenting them to you.
The cliché about singer/songwriters is that they sing confessionals direct from their heart, but John Lennon exploded the myth behind that cliché, as well as many others, on his first official solo record, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. Inspired by his primal scream therapy with Dr. Arthur Janov, Lennon created a harrowing set of unflinchingly personal songs, laying out all of his fears and angers for everyone to hear.
Tracks: Why/ Why not/ Greenfield morning I pushed an empty baby carriage all over the city/ AOS/ Touch me/ Paper shoes.
There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover is in Near Mint condition.
