Very rare promotional-only 7" UK psych/beat flexidisc from 1969 issued in conjunction with the legendary book on swinging sixties London, 'Young London: Permissive Paradise' by Frank Habicht, published by Harrap. Book not included in this auction.
The Pleasure Garden were actually The Iveys / Badfinger recording under a pseudonym. 'Permissive Paradise' written by Jeremy Cox & John Sidey. Recorded at Trident Studios, London. Produced at Apple Studios.
The flexidisc is in excellent condition. There are no scratches on either side and there are no warps or creases to the disc. Both sides play beautifully with no clicks or jumps.
A side (matrix: SFDK 31) contains interviews with Emperor Rosko & Jonathon King about the sixties scene.
B Side (matrix: SFDK 32 2) contains the track 'Permissive Paradise'.
The sleeve is in beautiful condition with no stains, blemishes or tears. There is slight wear and miniscule feathering along the opening edge but overall this item has survived the past forty years in beautiful condition.
