Description
More Bounce Test Pressing by Zapp. Produced by Roger Troutman and Bootsy. More Bounce to the Ounce is arguably the song that heralded the dawn of electro-funk. What a groove. And a rare test pressing that at the time of this listing, is not for sale anywhere else.
Vinyl is in VG to VG+ condition, some surface scratches, but does not seem to affect playability--- this sounds excellent-- that synth bass is so warm and so fat on 'Bounce'
A great song to hear on vinyl.
One side of record label has a very small worn, stained spot.
Cover: This is a generic sleeve, however, the markings and labels make it of interest. Sleeve is tanned, wrinkled, some dampstaining, little bit of ringwear, but no splits.
Cover stickers indicates this likely once belonged to Pete Johnson, who, my research shows, worked for Zapp in 1981 (Google the man!)
Run-out code is written on the generic sleeve. "BSK-3463"
Label copy information sheet is dated May 20, 1980. Yellowed across bottom of sheet.
Rare chance to own a piece of electro funk history.
