Australian Prog Rock band
I thought I had heard every Australian obscure prog band from the 70's untill I found this private pressing , produced by Martin Erdman (founder of Du Monde records), and made for the band in a very limited pressing.
For such an obscure group ,they are amazingly good . Interesting and unusual lyrics. Strong driving electronic organ playing mixed with nice guitar work and drumming, and great distinctive vocals.
Although the music is very unique, they seem to have been mainly influenced by groups such as The Doors and Deep Purple. But there is a lot of originality in the music as well.
All the tracks have interesting elements and are pretty strong.
The track Sea of Madness is an absolute Oz prog classic. I think it could have easily charted , if released as a single.
A distinctive sounding band that deserves to be more well known, and I haven't come across anyone who has heard of them, and when people hear the album , they are blown away.
Great lost artifact of progressive music in Australia.

CONDITION - VERY GOOD
The record itself has only a couple of very light scratches. It's a bit crackly at the start of each side. But it is pretty clean and plays well..
There is a mark on the label (see scan) where the former owner's id sticker was removed.

I hesitated, for years, about putting this up for sale. It's so rare that most collectors have never heard of Zenith and have no idea what their music sounds like.
I think it's worth a lot more than my minimum bid amount, but I am happy to let the market decide what it is worth. Feel free to contact me if you want to arrange to listen to a small sample of the music.
