Dear rock record collector , before you read the discription of this record , first THE STORY,

I just bought a HUGE , INCREDIBLE collection lp’s ( around 1000 ) and vinylsingles ( around 2850 ) from a famous Belgian radio dj .... , he was dj from the Belgian National radio station between 1965 and 1978 . In this time he collected all these “rare” vinyls,(keep in mind that this is his PRIVATE COLLECTION and not the radio collection !!) . When he came at home with his new stuff , he put the record on tape or his REVOX , reel to reel recorder and put all records in his huge bookcase ( record case ), they nearly never played more than once ,  he always listened to his tapes .... meanwhile he was also Salesmanager for Polydor Belguim.After 1978 he left his job and Belguim for what it was and went to work in Asia , he never bought any record after this period anymore , all lp’s stayed in Belguim in boxes in a dry room for nearly 30 years !In this collection you gonna see nearly all first pressings in MINT or NEARMINT condition !We talk about Progressive , Psychedelic , Folkrock , Beat , Folk , Jazz and Countryrock ... it’s a STUNNING collection !!! Everytime i gonna try to keep the discriptions brief , to the point and no 2 hours reading or psychological ploy to induce you into a state of mind numbness, the discription is what you get !!. I am not going to give a list of what’s inside because  this is too much work , i just gonna put every week new ones on aution,

ALBUM INFORMATION :

Odessey and Oracle was one of the flukiest (and best) albums of the 1960s, and one of the most enduring long-players to come out of the entire British psychedelic boom, mixing trippy melodies, ornate choruses, and lush Mellotron sounds with a solid hard rock base. But it was overlooked completely in England and barely got out in America (with a big push by Al Kooper, who was then a Columbia Records producer); and it was neglected in the U.S. until the single "Time of the Season," culled from the album, topped the charts nearly two years after it was recorded, by which time the group was long disbanded. Ironically, at the time of its recording in the summer of 1967, permanency was not much on the minds of the bandmembers. Odessey and Oracle was intended as a final statement, a bold last hurrah, having worked hard for three years only to see the quality of their gigs decline as the hits stopped coming. The results are consistently pleasing, surprising, and challenging: "Hung Up on a Dream" and "Changes" are some of the most powerful psychedelic pop/rock ever heard out of England, with a solid rhythm section, a hot Mellotron sound, and chiming, hard guitar, as well as highly melodic piano. "Changes" also benefits from radiant singing. "This Will Be Our Year" makes use of trumpets (one of the very few instances of real overdubbing) in a manner reminiscent of "Penny Lane"; and then there's "Time of the Season," the most well-known song in their output and a white soul classic. Not all of the album is that inspired, but it's all consistently interesting and very good listening, and superior to most other psychedelic albums this side of the Beatles' best and Pink Floyd's early work.

A SIDE : Nmint : The vinyl has retained most of the original sheen , it is clean and free from any scratches , under intense illumination it’s possible to make out light wispy hairlines caused from removal of the disc from the sleeve , BUT HERE I GO TO FAR , a side is superb !

B SIDE : EX ++ : The vinyl looks superb , this one is for sure nearly never been played , very very small surface hairlines,i mean , really small not hearable when you play the record , and 1 deeper hairline , NOT A SCUFF , ... here you can hear some small background noise between first and second song , but again i go too far ... record is still verrrrrry nice !!!

CONDITION COVER IN GENERAL :  Nmint : The half laminated sleeve is in stunning condition , i specially took few pictures more witch you can enlarge for better vieuw, if you look at the sleeve in full front IT'S GORGEOUS as new , just when you hold the sleeve a little to the sun you can see that the left side has a lamination flake (?) , line from nearly up till nearly down , i don't know this is the right English word for it , but you can see it what i mean on picture two and tree , here also you can see the SUBLIME full lamination after 40 years ..... just SUPERB ! Nmint : The edges are unworn , near perfect , NO usewear NO agewear

Nmint : The corners are as new , showing hardly any wear , they are still razorsharp !!!

 

EXTRA : The front surface of the cover, is graded if mint was 10 , this is a 9.5 !!!

CONDITION BACK / REAR SLEEVE :  Nmint : The rear surface is just as clean as the front , it shows hardly extreme small agewear , SUPER !!!! CONDITION INNER SLEEVE :  Nmint : It has the original label innersleeve , great !  LOOK AT THE PICTURE !!!
