This is most certainly the rarest Zombies album released in Canada, and possibly the entire
planet earth ? (can't speak for other collectors on planets in parallell universes ;) )
No reserve, but this is not going to go for mere pennies, due to the condition, on top of
the rare factor, plus the music itself, which is majestic. I feel hard pressed to go for NM
for an item of this age. Only if I had opened it fresh from sealed and maybe never actually played it,
I would give it a NM. A recent auction went off, by a well known seller, who always states
with their auctions "the nicest copy we have ever seen...ect" You might know who. Well
they just sold a much more common USA pressing, without the "time of season" on front, first
pressing, like this Canadian copy..but they listed it as Near Mint, and I could see visibly that
the cover at least was in worse condition than this one, the edges were visibly frayed a bit, and
the back cover slick was pasted on crooked. Well, that one went for $178 US. This copy
is rarer than the US version, probably by 100(US) to 1(canada). Some canadian collectors gave up
finding this one! (good luck they say!) This is a beautiful collectable in terms of shape and music.
Archival quality no doubt. I don't look forward to saying goodbye to this Canadian rarity,
but I hope it goes to someone who appreciates the timeless music engraved into this vinyl
format.
