ZOOT OUT
RARE 1971 Australian LP
Zoot was a four piece pop/rock band formed in Adelaide, South Australia in 1965. They played many clubs and discos around Adelaide, gradually gathering a strong following. In 1968, they relocated to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and performed in several Australian cities. Two of the more notable members of Zoot were founder Beeb Birtles, who also founded the Little River Band in 1975 and Rick Springfield who, after moving to the United States in 1972, achieved international fame as a solo artist, songwriter and actor.
This album was released in 1971 and features all their best material, including their version of Eleanor Rigby, which is one of those rare covers that actually rival the original.
The LP is in good condition with only minor scuffing. The cover is showing wear around all edges and creasing especially to the front. There is also a mark on the front. Both back and front feature pictures of the band in 60’s gear (Rick Springfield’s jump suit is AMAZING!!)
I will be listing a lot of records over the next few weeks. My brother has decided to stay overseas & is selling his house here. He has given me the job of unloading a thirty-year collection of ‘stuff’ - most has been stored in the back shed for the past fourteen years. This is pretty much the last lot of boxes and there are a number of records. I do not have a turntable & so cannot test out the records. I will do my best to give an accurate description of the condition but all records are sold as is. If I can’t sell them they’ll go straight out in the rubbish.
