Description
I'll be listing some great stuff over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out. I'm mad about music so everything listed has been played all the way through (at least once!). I do try and describe every record in as much detail as relevantly possible and will not ignore/overlook flaws in order to hike up the price! My top grade is Excellent ++++ and this is for a basically almost perfect record (rest assured anything I grade at Excellent or above would probably be graded as MINT by a lot of other sellers)...records in this sort of condition do not come along that often, so I'm surprised to see so many graded as Mint or Near Mint (!!!????) which are mainly completely misleading. Even with new vinyl, as soon as you drag the vinyl out of it's sleeve those annoying hairline scratches appear and sometimes worse and even the packaging has wear/flaws. Anyway, I do pride myself in being as honest as possible and think if I was buying this record what would I want to know.
Extremely hard to find in this condition ZOOT at RONNIE SCOTT'S Featuring ZOOT SIMS, the RONNIE SCOTT/JIMMY DEUCHAR QUINTET and the HAROLD McNAIR QUARTET Recorded Live at the Ronnie Scott Club, London 13-15/11/61. 1962 UK FONTANA MONO TFL 5176 7 track classic....Love for sale/ The haunted jazz club/ Desperation/ Tangerine/ Gone with the wind/ Harry Flicks/ Suddenly last tuesday....Brilliant.....truly the Holy Grail for all Jazz afficienados!

Condition
Sleeve
The classic front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending flipback sleeve is in amazing condition with only the slightest of wear to the bottom spine corner, slight wear to the opening edge bottom corner which has split about 3mm inwards, and a tiny patch of wear (about 5mm) over the "OO" of "ZOOT" on an otherwise perfect spine...all of which is hardly noticeable...and that is literally it! There is no edge wear, no ringwear, no tears, no writing, no stickers, no laminate creases, no discolouration/soiling and no wear to the opening edge. The unlaminated back is in equally superb order and superbly white with no discolouration/soiling and excellent flipbacks. This sleeve really does defy it's age and I strongly doubt you would ever find a better one!!!!! Overall I grade the sleeve as Excellent++ (If not better) (graded properly)
Inner Sleeve
The plain white paper inner sleeve has only slight creasing and grades Very Good+++.
Vinyl
The record clearly hasn't been played a great deal (maybe twice tops!) and plays all the way through without skips, jumps, hiss, pops, distortion with no background noise and only a couple of very faint clicks throughout both sides. There are no surface marks and only a couple of hairline marks/paper scuffs when viewed at an angle under a bright light....none of which detract the listening pleasure as the music is superb! The mono sound is amazing and again the condition of the vinyl is truly awesome! Overall I grade the vinyl as Excellent+++ (if not better)(graded properly)
Labels
The labels are in Excellent++++ condition with one small faint and hardly noticeable spindle mark on each side. The spindles are as new with no wear.
