We have experienced completely sealed and unplayed LP's that didn't play as well as ones that were played. Grading Scale Definitions : M: A perfect record, unplayed, very few records will qualify as Mint. NM: Record looks like new, no visible marks, high gloss, possibly unplayed. No visible cover wear in this grade category. NM-: Close to like new, may have very light wear such as sleeve marks that don't affect play. Very minimal, if any , cover wear. VG+: A well cared for record, may have sleeve or paper marks, light scuffs, fine hairline marks. Minimal cover wear, could show minor color fading, minor wear on the corners as well as edge wear. VG: Record shows more signs of wear, may have a few scatches or heavier scuff marks. Cover could show some ring wear, edge and corner wear as well as some small seam splits.
