ZZ Top  "ZZ Top's First Album"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on London PS 584  from 1971.    What a great album.     The liner notes say it all : 'In this day of homogenized rock, synthesized music, retakes, overdubbing, multi multi-tracking, an honest recording by accomplished musicans is a rewarding pleasure.     Z Z Top's First Album is just such a recording.'      This is Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Rube Beard's first album together.    It was produced by Bill Ham.    There are no radio hits, but it's all good music.

This is the original with the slightly textued cover in near mint condition.    Including the one-side custom photo innner sleeve.    This is very hard to find with NO cover wear.  

Overall Condition is : Cover is M- /  Record is M-

The cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing, no bumped corners , and no seam splits.   There is a super slight fading along the mouth.     The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.    There are a few super slight paper marks.      The labels are perfect with no spindle marks.  The inner sleeve has no seam splits !!

The songs are : (Somebody Else Been) Shaking Your Tree, Brown Sugar, Squank, Goin Down To Mexico, Old Man, Neighbor Neighbor, Certified Blues, Bedroom Thang, Just Got Back From Baby's, and Backdoor Love Affair.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 6 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 22 ounces ( 1 pound, 6 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Brazil must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
