Description

This is a no reserve auction for the following LP vinyl record:

Artist: Zoot Sims

Title: Zoot

Year: 1956

Cat #  Argo LP 608

Vinyl Condition: VG+

Cover Condition: VG/VG+

Comments: Cover has top and bottom one third seam splits in the center and about an inch split in the top left side. There is also some cracking of the bottom seam that starts on the bottom left edge. The top and bottom right corners are a slightly bent, with some mild wear. The seam splits are due to cracking with age, not your typical worn through split. Besides the cracking, the cover looks great, with all writing clearly visible on front and back. There is very mild rub wear on the front. The spine looks great ,with no splitting. The vinyl looks very clean and shiny with very little surface noise and only noticeable between tracks. There are a few hairline sleeve swipes and three very small scarfs on track two/side two. None of these however affect play. The album sounds great throughout. A very hard to find record in this condition. The labels are grey with black writing, which is rare because most original pressings of this lp had black labels with grey writing. Labels are very clean, with small bubbling on the ARGO emblem on side one. This is the original mono pressing with CHESS LP 8322/8323 hand etched in the dead wax.

All records are shipped in heavy corrugated record mailers.

My shipping price is for the Con. US. only, all other destinations will be a flat rate of $15.

I will be listing more vintage Jazz records in the next few weeks from such labels as Prestige, Verve, Blue Note among others...so keep watching.

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. If you would like more info about a particular title, please ask. I check Ebay often and will try to get back to you promptly.

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) -  Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attatched, or small seam splits.

G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.

P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
